So I'm 22 and my son will be one on the 27th of December... I'm so tired of parents that have children but tgen don't want them I sit here and cry all the time cause sometimes I don't know what to do... I get so stressed and want to be there foe everything my son does but I can't I work full time so I can't see some of the things that my son does and it hurts me alot... I want my son to have a good Christmas and Birthdy but I have no money to that and that hurts to cause I wanted to give him everything cause he deserves it ahh... I just don't know what to do..

`Chantel
I feel where you are coming from. My youngest daughter just turned one last week, and things are tough for us right now too. You have got to keep in mind, Chantel, that everybody is different. Some parents are irresponsible, have other priorities, or just don't care. We have to be strong for our children because we are all they've got. Its not fair to anybody involved, especially the children, when sombody leaves, but we have to make the best out of the situation at hand. I don't claim to know everything about life, but I know this much Chantel; If you make your children your first priority in life, they will be happy. They will apperciate the sacrifices you make for them. They will love you forever, no matter how good or bad things are going. There will be some rocky times, but just keep everything in perspective. Love your son, love yourself.
May God smile upon you and your son.

`I know where you'er coming from my little girl misses out on stuff because I'm working all the time too. Not necessarily working but just keeping bills paid and the house (semi) clean. I even feel guilty about being on a web site, like I should be doing something else and not doing anything for me. I have to be honest and say I knew it was time to do something when my 10yr asked me why I don't have a girlfriend (groan). I do understand and sympathize with you. May good luck be yours.

It is hard, I will definitely agree. I am the parent of an eight year old boy. His father has never played a significantly consistent role in his life. Because I've had to be everything to my child, it has made me such a better person. So while I can not be a father to him, I can be an example of honesty, respect, and unwavering love and support. I pray that this helps to shape him into a great man. So to everyone out there who is in my shoes, it is hard I agree, but keep your head up, you are the best example your child has to look up to.
